The love for Gold by Indians is a known fact and has been passed from generation to generation. India constitutes one fourth of the world’s gold demand and around 10% of Indian household saving in 2011-12 was invested in Gold. Morgan Stanley conducted a survey on Why did we Indians buy gold in last 12 months?
Almost 35% of India n bought gold on account of auspicious events like marriage, festivals, etc; while 20% bought it as an investment.
